| "Storming" Man of the Match performance by Joe yesterday in the Barrow side that humbled Whitehaven in a 42-4 victory in the friendly at Craven Park.
Joe is still young, developing well and has bags of potential - in my view an asset that must not be allowed to slip though the net.
I'm sure this won't go unnoticed by PR and the coaching staff.

| Well i agree, a fine young forward imo. Rowley says we need another forward due, Sarsfield/aspinwalls injuries, and i agree, however if we cant find a suitable replacement, then i'd be more than happy to have joe back in the fold.

| I remember him starting in our reserves. Think he started out on the wing,
He'll be in our first team soon.

| Tommy G had a huge game Sunday plus Haggerty has to come back and Wilkes rolled back the years in the back row, who else thinks Tracey may get a bit of game time this season ?

In my view Jamie Tracey is a great prospect and in very good hands from a coaching perspective. All our young players are very lucky to be in an environment where they are having the benefit of one of the best coaching set ups around and able to pick up advice from people like Tommy G.
However I think Joe Bullock is, at this point in time, ahead of Jamie - as he should be, noting his age and maturity as a player.

With a squad the size of ours I'd be very surprised and disappointed if we looked to shell out any more cash than we already have done on players.
The money if now spare would be better served going towards non playing related staff and marketing and advertising as well as the community IMO if we want to develop a club ready for the step up to SL.
Jamie Tracy IMO will play SL and has all the hall marks of a top class back row forward, big frame, decent turn of pace strong and aggressive and is a very special talent and it was great to see him given his head Sunday.Great to see Young Sam get a run Sunday also.

Bullock playing week in week out at the moment is in the right place for his long term development.
He's benifiting from the FT enviroment at Leigh but getting big minutes week in week out at Barrow.
His converstion from Outside back to the front row has been a master stroke.

Probably agree with you there Andy. It's disappointing that Beaumont doesn't seem to want to play for us, but we do seem well covered at prop - when they are all fully fit, that is.

In a greedy world for the pefect squad i would add another winger and a 2nd row. Backed up with some of the wonderful youth leaves us with the best squad outside of the top 6/7 in the country.

Ste your optimism and enthusiastic opinions are infectious , but I think we are far from how you view us , maybe im being negative , but I prefer to be careful, and will form my opinion after around 10 games , I agree we have a very exciting squad , but tough games await us this year , and a very tough finish to the season .
I think teams like Fax ,Sheff , and Dews , will be challenging us and London and Bradford , im hoping the Full Time experience will give us that edge , only time will tell, im tipping Faugheen for the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in March .Tipster Charlie .

| Says on the Reporter website we're close to making a new signing as Sarsfield will be out for 4 months.

I am really pleased Tommy is back - his performance on Sunday was excellent following his injury. I take pleasure in repeating what I have said previously on this Forum - a fit Tommy G is the first man on my team sheet - every single week.
On the flip side, Matt Sarsfield's pectoral injury requiring an operation and being out for 4 months is a real bummer as I rate him highly also. When Paul signed him I had a feeling that this guy was never going to be just a squad player - and so it turned out. Just like Tommy he never ever delivers a below par performance. Good luck Matt - we shall definitely be a better team when you are fit and ready. We have to now look upon Matt as a class act joining us mid season to give us a welcome boost towards our ultimate goal.
I don't know the detailed terms of Joe Bullock's loan or when/if we could get him back. It also depends on who Paul is hoping to sign this week, but we have quickly gone from a position where we had an embarrassment of riches to one where we don't need any more injuries thanks.

Everyone's entitled to an opinion CC. The fact I disagree with you is just my opinion.
My optimism is based of us having the best coach and squad outside the elite of SL. Our time is now and I've every confidence in the lads reproducing the wonders of 2014 in 2015. We have added a top class centre, we had a wonderful young half back making his debut on Sunday and probably the most high profile signing to land in the UK this year.
We already had the best pack by a mile we have the best 2 half backs and the wingers, centres and full back are top notch.
It's the best Leigh team since 1982. Why shouldn't I be optimistic?
Despite what some think that was a top class Wigan side we beat on Saturday without our most influential player and director general Riddy.
I fear absolutely nobody this year and the Challenge Cup may well be one hell of a journey too.
As for Cheltenham I'll get the slide ruler out in March, soon be here now pal!
