| Heard on the radio this morning the pies are planning to carry on sending dual coders out to Workington. Thought the RFL were going to decide on if dual code was staying next year, has anyone heard anything? Hope they announce the farce is being scrapped soon and we don't end up like last time, with clubs forcing the RFL into the worst possible system as they spent too long deciding what to do.

| Thats up to Worky.....you have to remember that its hard for cumbrian clubs to attract players due to the travelling distance so duel contract is a option for them. IMHO it should be scrapped and go back to the loan system as you have the player for 1 month min - no good here 1 week and gone the next as it doesnt help when you got a injury crises.

953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| Halifax have no reserves/U20s next season. Fev have signed 4 Leeds players for one season and are releasing more of last seasons first teamers. I fear for the Championship bar the top three or four clubs.

| think Fev will be ok.....alot of their players looked stale last season so a few hungry youths could be what they need....SL fringe players wanting to prove their worth can be a dangerous thing for teams they are playing.

| I have a feeling that Fev will suffer the Feisal effect this season. Andy Kain who I have always rated will be one of the first established players to leave apparently

| It looks like Fev are using the 450k to pay part of the debts accrued and joining a scrap for 4th, 4th or better would be a remarkable achievement and put them in a great position for 2016 imo
With so much at stake next season DR is silly, but the clubs who have invested in youth structures are Wigan and Leeds who will have fringe players with no where to go due to no 23's in SL

| Its not 19/20 year olds I have a problem with its the first teamers returning or the here one week gone the next squad players
A lot of clubs will always look to put a team out as cheaply as possible, so there will be a demand as long as this system is in place

We are not dual reg and wont be again, we tried it and it wasn't for us lol
We're not dual reg with Leeds. The four players we have signed from Leeds are on a 1 year contract with us. They are being paid by us. They have signed contracts with Leeds from 2016. It a strange arrangement but one that suits both parties. All 4 are expected to break into Leeds first team in 2016 and 2 of them played superleague last season on loan to London.
We had an open day at Fev on Saturday and everything is rosy. we have a very good squad which will be competitive and much better than last season. Andy Kain can leave for me. he's been a fantastic player but past his best and probably a top earner. when your game is all about speed, then you start to get found out a bit with you lose it.
We currently have a squad of 34 players, we're just going about our business quietly without flip flop and robin at the club. Andy Hey and MC are confident with our squad that we can make the top 2, and that's their aim.
also when POR is finished, it will generate an income of £450k - £500k per year non rugby related revenue. Add this to the prize money on offer in the championship and we wont be skint again

| That is an odd arrangement, but it's better than the Dual reg farce.

Isn't that something more of a legal situation/contractual obligation rather than being a deliberate arrangement?

| Its a bit different in that Ben doesn't have a contract with cas for 2016. If he does well with us he probably will. Fev could have just loaned them from leeds couldn't they but of course they would then have no space for loan/dr players during the season
Lets not be naive here. We also have Hoppy on a season long loan.

....though Hoppy isn't contracted to anyone for 2016 (yet) AFAIK?
