Taken from twitter, I may be wrong and only my opinion but I think Ryan may want to try is hand in SL but the club don't want him to go & the respect he has for Rowls & the club means he won't rock the boat. But should we really stand in his way if he wants to go ??

Or he may be holding out for better terms, more money etc on the extension. Until he "says" he wants to go then it's all #rugbypolitics as the twitter post says.

I've always held the opinion, no one player is bigger than the club, and if a player is not happy or 100% committed to the cause, then they should be allowed to leave. The same should apply to ryan, if he does go, and i like all fans hope he stays, then we demand a big fee for him. Hull paid salford 100.000 quid for sneyd, i would guess ryan would command a similar fee. My message to ryan is this, look at hopkins, he went to soon, and is now back with us, hilly left at the right time, and he is now a international, simple really, stay develope, then make the move if you wish.

He's been in and out more times than if he was doing the Hokey Cokey. If he wants to play for us great, if he doesn't lets get rid and make as much out of him as we can. I would never keep a player who doesn;t want to be with us.

Don't know why people want to keep actively digging away at the subject of Ryan leaving us.

I think you may be a little over optimistic about what influence this message board has over players decisions!

The fact he seems to be constantly turning down offers from Salford & turned down Leeds, plus the fact he seems to love not just playing for Leigh but interacting with all the Leigh fans & the work he did with the trust all suggests he's committed to Leigh and doesn't want to go anywhere. I almost think some people want him to go, the amount they talk about how he's definitely leaving despite all evidence to the contrary.

My own personal view is that he would benefit from one more year at Leigh. If we manage to get into SL at the first attempt (not likely perhaps but not impossible) then he could well stay, if not then he will be better placed to move on to a bigger club. Life is short, you cannot blame the lad for trying to earn a living in the few years he is young enough to do so.

Stephen yes Derek raised it at that meeting which Ryan was there. Derek said RyAn had turned down Salford and Leeds
If Derek had told lies Ryan wouldn't have just stood there saying nothing.
