| Once again thanks to Andy for his kind gesture of coach travel, however why are these generous offers always made to coach travelers. i am sure the facts will mostly state more people travel by car than coach. so maybe as an idea for the future why not Purchase Entry tickets and offer them up first come to ALL fans, I cant afford to take all my group on a coach if my car is full its always cheaper.

| It's probably because a lot of people who travel by coach are teenagers or groups of lads/girls on the booze or people who can't afford to run a car. It's a real good gesture and will get more people at the final, hopefully with Leigh lifting the trophy.

| Because the money the coaches make goes back into the club. By subsidising coaches he's basically putting money into the club & getting extra in by getting more people on the coaches.

Incorrect.
Coaches don't make money for anyone so the money I pay out of my own pocket wont come back to the club, it will go to the coach company.
Secondly we as Directors are under no obligation to fund anything for supporters. Our individual and collective investments as a board and indeed the time and effort we have all put in at no cost to the club culminate with the club coming from near death 16 months ago to were it is today so I think that's more than enough.
I've made this gesture as a thank you to the core supporters for the support they have given me personally as a director and the club in general during my time on the board.
As Maurice states in another thread the freebie culture and mentality is still holding the club back to some degree, gestures like mine are a thank you out of respect not something I feel obliged to do.
We shouldn't really have to convince people to pay for transport to a final should we be fortunate enough to reach one.
Regards
Andy

| Talking about the freebie culture Andy. I don't know if the club are aware or not. I have noticed on many occassions this season, when buying tickets on match days there people who take the mick out of the club and are allowed to by the LSV staff. Concession tickets are asked for at the ticket office by people who are clearly not entitled to them. When questioned the purchaser simply says he/she is buying it on behalf of someone else. They then walk straight up to the turnstile and go straight in with the ticket. I'm not talking about the odd one it is loads of people. I've pulled the odd one or two up and they just laugh and say "well you've got to try it on haven't you!". I dont know how you get the LSV to police that one, but I bet it is costing the club thousands over a season. At the end of the day you and your fellow Directors are actually subsidising these low life takers.

| As Andy says it started as an offer by him personally as a thank you .
Sometime like the Fev cup game last year the club sponsered coaches and more fans went that don't normally go and it worked out in our favour and we won the game and went on to make and win the final .
So in occasions it works ......
If rather for future see any sponsership going towards kids going free on coaches

A very good point. It is difficult to police granted, maybe introduce the possibility of spot checks every few weeks at the turnstyles for proof to be shown (I forgot it won't be allowed). Insist on proof being shown on purchase or pickup from the ticket office, I have no idea how but I agree that some effort needs to be made to stop the abuse. Think its crazy how someone can get in on a junior concession then walk straight to the concourse bar and look old enough to be served and are.
No doubt though someone will say it is better to have them in on a concession ticket than not at all

The only way to stop thi sin my opinion is to have a separate turnsile for concessions and check as you go in or as you are queueing. That isn't going to happen though I don't think. There's no point in checking when you buy the ticket, there's nothing to stop a genuine concession buying a ticket for someone who isn't.

| It has to be checked at the turnstile.
It would be unfortunate if it became necessary for concession ticket holders to produce ID.
"Please do not be offended if you look much younger than you are" and all that....

| I can not believe Andy Mazey has not even offered to pay for our lot's overnight stay in Leeds? Is it only about supporters going up for the day? I mean the Leeds City Centre Hilton is only £149 a room for the Saturday night. Surely a drop in the ocean for our club.
Do these directors want to see us in Super league or not? Either way I am not watching this club again until there is a clean sweep starting right at the top.

I do not see why there would be a problem having stewards asking to see fans tickets before they go through the turnstyles after all for most games we only have four turnstyle operators so it would only take 4 stewards.
You could eradicate the problem quickly in my view. I always take my bus pass to games just in case I am ever asked. Mind you I do look very young for my years.
