From Leigh Centurions Communications Team
The club is considering a marketing exercise involving 'Legends of Leigh RLFC'. I know we have touched on this theme on a number of occasions on this website, but have never actually collated the data. The club would be grateful for nominations from the fans, on who they consider to be their heroes/most revered players, over the generations.
Please feel free to nominate your personal heroes, on this thread, and I'll gladly pass the names to the club. We are looking for about 25 nominated players.

| Great to see the club looking at this, and no doubt most of us 'older' supporters will name Murphy, Woods, Drummond, etc. My boyhood hero was Pete Smethurst, He'd never be on the pitch today, he always seemed to have a bloody nose. 
But for the benefit of the youngsters, who've only known the likes of Kez, Riddy and co, I'd like to also see some kind of montage of the current squad, 'Legends still being made in Leigh since 1895', I know that's a bit to long of a slogan but you get the gist, |

What about Joe Walsh ?
He scored in the first minute of his debut and was one very hard player to stop when he had the ball.
We have had some great players over the years but somehow the best always seem to have ended up at Warrington or Wigan.
