| I wonder with just 1 year left of his contract why the board hasn't offered our coach of the year a new longer term contract?
A new 3 year deal is the least Mr Freer and co should offer.
Over to you board.....

| Blimey Ste, the season's only been finished a week, and he only got the award last night.
Or, of course 'Mookachaka' might be Keith Freer......

| 3 yr contract think you are gettin a bit ahead of yourself yes we had a great season but think the board need to wait till next season if we win something then i will agree with you and he gives ryan a lot more game time instead of keepin are star player on the bench for 3 quarters of the game dont get me wrong i aint taking anything away from what paul as done this year but ave to say some of his tactics havent been right eveyone knows when rb comes on our game speeds up we need to stop wraping the lad up in cotton wool and stop seeing him as just a inpact player i reallythink if he had come on earlier last week we would have been at the HJ this weekend instead of watin till we were 26 6 down before bringing him on we didnt do this with JE last season and his 2 tries won us the nrc last season hope the lad gets a lot more chances next season

| I agree actually, tells the players that the coach will be there no matter what so they know who's boss.

| We cannot afford to be offering coaches 3 year deals, lets see how he goes with expectations and make a call towards the end for a 2 year deal.
Paul may also see himself as a SL coach and he may feel this season coming is his opportunity to put himself in the shop window.

| Well if this board don't offer him a contract someone will. If its SL he is after I think Tony Smith would have him as an assistant in a crack. There is a lot of mutual respect between them both.

| Asst at Wire after next year would be a great move for Paul imo and I would wish him well in challenging himself at the next level if that did take place.
We cannot be handing out substantial long term deals for PT coaches in this league unless they have a dual role within the structure eg Marketing or community. Look how many AT paid off!!!!
I feel Paul knows he has something to prove next year, ie to win something, and that he believes he will have the tools to do it.
We will be supporting him in his goal.

| Remind me again what have we won this season ? , and as I recall he wasn't the 1st choice candidate as the job was advertised wasn't it ? , and didn't he get the job because 2 of the applicants were having problems with work permits ?
If memory serves me right we started the season off playing some top notch expansive entertaining rugby , tonking both Sheffield and Halifax , and then he was offered the job and out went the flair and in came the pass pass inside ball and drive down the middle style that became our trademark for the rest of the season .
Sure he exceeded expectations for the season but c'mon it's a bit early to be hailing him as the new massiah , let's see how this next season goes when expectations of winning something are on the table .
I'd like to see a return to the expansive , entertaining , crowd pleasing style of early last season , we've got the players to do it, we just need the guidance of the man in charge .
Over to you PR , these are all your players , so show us your worthy of a contract extention by entertaining your public .

| Just tell me again how big our squad is and how many injuries we have had. That aswell as loosing Govin. Duffy being injured or playing injured. Loosing DCs left right and centre. Give yer yed a shake.

| Yes but he would have still been a Leigh player this year. A major player at that.
