That ref should never be allowed near a pitch again and Henderson should have hit him harder. A lot harder. My thoughts from tonight anyway. I think with an unbiased, unbent wa**** (referee) then we might have had half a chance.

Disagree about Hendo it was a shocker, he should have done everyone a favour and planted it on the ref Stokes instead. Ref was horrific though and, without wanting to make excuses for Hendo's stupid stupid high shot, the reason the game boiled over was due to Stokes' terrible performance. I was getting angry just watching it so no wonder the players got so wound up.

Hendo's season is over i'd imagine so he'll pay the consequences. We should make an official complaint about the ref tonight though. He just played us out of the game.

Refs tend to favour the home side. The one who reffed Leigh v Fax certainly did.

Very seldom do I blame the ref for a Leigh defeat but tonight is a n exception.
2 crucial wrong decisions and allowed fev to slow us down with flop after flop.

But we overdid the one man drive and that played into their hands.

we need to let the ball go wide a little more,also get the kicking game right on the last tackle.they had the size up front to wear us down with all the penalties they got in the second half.just got to work that bitn harder and hope for a decent reffing performance next time.as for henderson deffo sending off.was their tripping incident in first half not a sending off,no ref put it on report and heard to say to a leigh player to early,make what you want of that

Refs should not be winning high profile semis for teams. Players should be doing that. It just cheapens our game even further.

I don't normally comment on referees either but he spoiled what could have been a classic. He was bloody appalling.

I feel sorry for our lads because they deserved better than that, but I still think we can do them in the Final if we get there (and I'd rather win that one than this one).

Well,i hope everybody has a good whinge tonight,and then gets over it! we are in the same position ..one game of the final.
We didn't have the rub of the green to say the least,but we also didn't play as well in the second half,with some players non existent.

We have to get back to a positive mindset,this includes the players,fans and management,make sure there are NO EXCUSES next thursday.

The club as whole should move on from tomorrow and should only look forward to thursday,revenge is a dish best served cold.

i'll go along with a poor show from the ref but the comment about hitting him harder is not called for.....its one of the worst head highs i've ever seen......not seen it on tv yet like but it didnt look good

maybe you should have took more advantage of the 6 on the trot penalties in the 1st qtr an got a few more pts on board.....seems to me our half time team talk was a bit more constructive than yours......the ref was poor full stop....if you feel he helped us through then fair do's......whoever you get at home you should do em

Leigh had a good 1st 30 mins and took advantage well of the period when Stokesy was handing Leigh the penalties. Then came the second half. The try called for obstruction looked harsh live without the befnefit of the telly. We all reckoned it was a bloody good try. The try pulled for a forrad pass I've seen given on so many other very similar occassions.
That said, on half time when Leigh scored my mate suggested that that would be the last Leigh try of the game and I said Leigh would tire in the second half.
Notwithstanding the referees performance, those two predictions were accurate and critical to the final result.
The final score flattered us. It was a niggly, oft bad tempered game which will see Leigh and Fev missing players for the final should Leigh get there.

Leigh played well and set off like a house on fire. i didn't think they'd keep that pace up for the full 80 - they didn't. But in the final I have a feeling we'll be missing 2 first choice props. That may well even up the score somewhat if yoy beat Sunday's winners
