| I couldnt go the game last night but listened to Radio Manchester and Leigh Live. It sounded like Leigh were on the wrong side of lots of calls like last year against Les Cats, inc a disallowed try for bouncing the ball. Can anyone confirm? I was fecking fuming last night after the first disallowed try.

Hard to tell with it being at the other end but it was a quick decision which suggests it was reasonably clear cut, and it certainly wasn't a game changer like the Catalans incident.

| I think the video will confirm that the ref got most of the calls, and all the major ones, right.

| Hard to tell from where I was in the north stand. I was disapointed that Parkers try was chalked off and Thaler should have been followiing play not what was going on in back play. That should have been left to his helpers. That tells me he was looking for a way to not let us score. Bailey was interfering with the play the ball and Stu should not have got involved. Thaler is probably one of the worst refs in the game. But Im not that bothered about his performance just ours and I'm happy with that.

| Cheers
I'll be interested to hear whether the first try chalked off was a good call

| Was told he dropped the ball in the tackle.
The ref was on the spot so he saw it and gave the correct decision.
On balance I thought Thaler was pretty good last night and kept the game flowing.

953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| When did touch judges stop looking for massively forward passes then, I am not referring to borderline forwards here

| Yes indeed - Leeds 3rd try of the match looked a clear cut forward pass from my position in the North Stand. Obviously the ref and asssistant were in a far better positions but I was convinced that it was just a matter of time before the ref would pull them for it. I could not believe it was allowed to stand.

| Thought Thaler let the game flow last night - as did Leahy at Sheffield - and surely that's what spectators want? (Granted a flowing game did us no favours last night! )
As for McNally's disallowed effort, the touch judges weren't happy with it either, so we have to assume the officials got it right.
And finally, on the topic of forward passes, he's not the only ref to let them go, but remember, Leeds had a late try disallowed for one and, if you check back on McNally's disallowed effort, I think there were two of them in the move that put him through.
I'm happy with the ref that let's the game flow and the players seem to prefer that too.

| I suppose Moore passing the ball a good 2 seconds after Thaler had shouted held and not giving a penalty but getting Moore to play the ball good reffing. Also the Leeds player who clearly played at the ball - knocking on - inside his own ten and Thaler not giving as back to one good reffing. Both these happened yards from him. Blatant wrong decisions that could have cost us a try and gifted them field position from where they scored. Thaler is poor. Oh forgot about Jonny Pownall knocking the ball out in the tackle and not playing at it where he gave it as back to one where they scored.

It is correct reffing and I would dispute your 2 seconds.

| There is a new rule were if they fail to hear " held " and pass the ball they are just told to play the ball, but we heard held, Moore didn't

| I was at the back of the north stand and I heard it. If it had been a short time before he had passed it yes but Leigh were retreating ready to defend the play the ball. It should have been a Penalty to Leigh Reffy.

| You are possibly correct but the rule was brought in because players were unfairly penalised when passing the ball at the same time that the ref called held. I think this way is better.
