| Few people slating the 70's idea, I think it sounds like a giggle. Reference to the clubs most famous day against the same opposition, same competition, easy and cheap to market.
Cherry and White's been suggested?

Current World Club Champions , yes , but im not to sure about Best team on the Planet , Wigan would beat them 8 times out of 10 at the moment , but still the best way to Market this , i to hate the 70s idea and i was there in 1971 . |

I know the OP is about having a bit of 'themed' fun but if we have to market this game aggressively and give offers to get folk in then we should pack up and move to the Marshes pronto.

Offers are one thing but if we don’t market the game as aggressively as realistically/financially possible, we’ll have just over 2000 Leythers there plus whatever Leeds bring. Most of Leigh won’t even know there’s a game on. |

Think the link to "71 " would work because Leigh were the massive underdogs then as they are now. Obvious to roll out the surviving " 71 " squad on the day would be great to see them walk out on the pitch .
