I wondered why Andy Burnham had been appointed vice president of Leigh Centurions?

Not just Leigh Centurions in financial trouble, difference is we don't have the tax payer to bail us out, no white knight just the hard hit supporter and LISA!

He loves his sport, everybody knows his name. I think it can only be a good thing. Ask him to come to a few games, tweet a few things and he could ask a few if his contacts to help us out

My suggestion would be to hand over the running of the stadium to LRLFC - I believe we WOULD run it for less cost and generate more income. After all there was no debt on the building of it.
My understanding is that the loss includes the sports centre etc - so the 20/30000 local council tax payers will be paying on average £12-18 per annum to have the facility in town. What does it cost to have a library, parks, Town Hall, Councillors Expense etc ??????????????? I pay a lot more to suppoort NHS, Education and policing per annum and I dread to think what it costs me to support the whiplash brigade and no win no fee lot via insurance.

So Mr Short/ Tin Tinfocus on areas we do waste money on a big scale and not coppers to offer the town sport/education and recreation for 30p per week.
