I think when we got to what was then known as Superleague 'before the season started' fans were asked which day they preffered for matches.
Most voted for Sunday but most of our home games were played on Friday.
Those of us who attended back then knew we had a very uncompetative side and our season average was just short of 5000 which beat the average of a couple of teams still in' what is now known as non relegation league.
There is no doubt the average was boosted by away support.
Quite frankly I would prefer Sundays but lets be honest we could not get 2400 to watch a very entertaining team last season so maybe the club has decided to try something different.
We will have to wait and see in my view.
Fans will be able to ask why at the next fans forum won't they.

Yeah but Friday Leigh games would interfere with your Friday Wigan games John, you couldnt watch both . |
