I don't know how many of you know Fred apart from Demonuk & Fred P. He's my Father & sells half time draw tickets and collects hundreds of £s weekley for the Lifeline and has done for 20 + years. He was unwell on Sunday so couldn't make the game and on monday got taken into Wig@n hospital as he was finding it very difficult to walk and had loss of sensation on his left arm & leg. After tests done it appears he has had several strokes (no not the nice ones). The reason i'm posting this is that my Dad knows so many people connected with Leigh that its hard to know if we have let everyone know . He is better in himself today but is going to have tt give up collecting and no doubt have lots of Physio, Christine and other lottery staff know so no doubt they will be looking for either new agents or ask existing agents if they want any more rounds, two people have kindly offerd to do some collecting for him temporary but the rounds will need a permnent agent, like i said Christine knows about this so i'm sure it will get sorted.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, Ste. Here's wishing him a speedy and full recovery. At least he sounds as though he's getting the proper treatment at an early stage - and that certainly helps.

One of the many unsung heroes of the lottery dept your dad Ste. Visited your mum today who said he was felling a little chirpier today. He has some big boots to fill in terms of the amount of calls he makes each week on our behalf and I wil miss my weekly visit to him ( don't tell him that though!) I am sure I speak for not just myself and Christine but the whole club in wishing him a speedy recovery.

fetched fred home last evening you're right ste he does sound like his old self (crap jokes etc) lol also one of his first comments was i'd better get my ticket sorted for the final just glad he's back on form

I spoke with Fred on the phone today, and indeed he does sound in good humours and his usual self.
