This 4,000 break even figure everyone seems to be throwing around.

Apart from starbug starting this rumour were is the black and white facts????

Certain people on here are doing massive damage to the club trying to scare fans into certain rescue deals that are fiction in there own minds.

If the club as no buyer or its own rescue package do you not think they would have not come public by now?

The last statement from the club said they were working towards sorting something out.

Now if I have missed a clive dunn don't panic mr manering annoucement since then,I suggest people stop coming up with foolish collectives and let the club get on with it

And please stop scaring people to death with tittle tattle

Because the next person to tell me the club is going to fold next week when I'm walking the dog because they read on here will get both barrels

i must admit its bloody depressing me at work!! I do think "IF" we are as bad as people are saying then the club need to release a statment!

How is anybody on here doing massive damage to the club? If it turns out that there is investment waiting in the wings then we will all breathe a huge sigh of relief and move on. If there isn't we will stand ready to provide assistance. Just because you can't/won't be a part of it doesn't give you the right to criticise those who have the best interests of the club at heart.

My own personal opinion is that it would be foolish in the extreme to assume that no news is good news. The chances of a single investor or a small number of investors putting in significant amounts into the club are slim, and even if it happens they are unlikely to have deep enough pockets for long enough. Sharing the load amongst a wider number of fans seems entirely sensible and entirely possible to me.

People seems to believe certain posters words as fact

When to be honest the club in recent years manage to plug leaks from certain people who would shoot on here as soon as they heard a player had broken wind in training

Lets stop giving ammo to the so called man at bar who people would believe is destroying the club with there tittle tattle and to be honest the said man doesn't really stop anyone from attending.

Simple fact is people don't buy into the franchise nonsense and one season out of 20ish years in the lower league does more damage to us to be true as a whole generation as grown up not seeing us play in the top flight

Spin. Count how many times they use the word "potential" in that statement. As far as I am aware you cannot write that on a piece of paper and take it to the bank. I don't blame the club, at this point they are hardly going to come out and say "we're doomed" whilst they are still hoping for a white knight - they want to convince him/her/them that there is a going concern to be entered into here. But unless backers emerge, sooner or later they are going to have no option but to turn to the fans for financial assistance.

I am ready, as are others. As you have already made quite clear, you are not. What amazes me is why you persist in visiting and posting on these boards. Surely with your attitude you would be better served simply turning up to watch the matches as long as they keep happening and enjoy them.

Sorry, but you read folding club I read club inviting potential investors to the club to talk it over,then again people would sooner see the worst in any post the club makes?

Time will tell what the real situation is. I really cannot see the issue with having a Plan B though. Whats your plan B - going watching W*g*n?

Even if a whole posse of 'white knights' (wrong collective noun probably ) come galloping over the horizon, I think it would still be an excellent time for the fans to be involved - especially financially. The mistake would probably be to sit back and say 'We're saved!', then four years down the line...........

Fine alan get the fans to chuck in great,we have lisa for that its set up for that.

Hopefully they will get a increase in membership and we can use that money to secure more of the great local talent we have.
