With conspiracy theories why we lost or slanting the tram off. We lost to a better team tonight. Halifax played some fantastic rugby at times and did to us what we have beendoing to everyone else.

If someone had offered me 11 games with 1 loss before the season, not only would I have snatched their arm off I would have snatched everything except their belly button (well it's weird and why would I want it.

Well, well beaten by the better side. We don't half need a week off soon - shame it isn't for another 4 weeks!

I agree this result has been on the cards for a few weeks. Hope the players can get back down to business and something can be sorted behind the scenes.

Thought halifax played a simple effective game plan,they had done there home work on us and caned us at marker with quicker play the balls than us.

They cut us out from passing the ball wide by moving up quickly on the outside forcing us to turn the ball infield were there defence was superb.

Daft as it sounds 4 tries could have been cut out,tommy unlucky with the bad kick from halifax[were to be honest they were going no were with] were he knocked on under our posts earlier on.

The other kick through which took a few deflections in first half,suspect first half forward pass well we all get them in a game and our madness play the ball in the second half,I suppose you make you own luck in a game and if our rare breaks in the first half had come off perhaps we could have made a game of it.

A good team learns from defeats like this and hopefully we can,young team hopefully we can get back on track next week with a few extra days rest.

Just one of those nights tonight.

We met a side who have new imputus and highly expierienced coach who has worked on there line speed and line defence and really opened up when in position and exploited our lack of pace out wide.

Our game breakers all had poor nights it happens its how we respond to this defeat that will define this current crop of players now.

Need to forget off the field talk and stick together the lads finished strong tonight all pulled together at the end and will want to bounce back.

I was at York and saw this coming tonight it may just be what the doctor ordered a taste of reality will do no halm at all.

tbf. 6-32 at half time - top of the table at home to 8th in the table. Fax played well, but the last 2 weeks performances aren't solely down to the opposition.

best team won, our spark was missing, it started at york, but we scrapped a win their because york well are york, but against a well organised, hard working, quick team like fax we were struggling, first time this year our pack has been beaten. But like fred has said and i said it on way out of ground, reaction to a defeat shows more about our character than froma win, if we have a club in a few weeks i am sure our boys will bounce back.

I was surprised how easily our pack got over the top of yours to be honest. I was expecting that having seen how we have played all season. I guess if you are going to lose it may as well be to the best attacking side in the comp.

I still think you will finish second which isnt a disaster by a long shot. I also hope that things pick up for you off the field as well as i dont like seeing any heartlands club in difficulties. All the best until the Rail final.
