| Wouldn't be suprised if Millward played a weakened side against Catalan because of the schedule we have had up until now and also with les frogs' form it is a real long shot that we win.
Having said that, the confidence we are playing with and maybe if Catalan underestimate us, well who knows?
Anyone else agree? Do you think he will play it safe and give some players a rest or go for it?

| Nope.... think he will go with the strongest poss line-up....... no duel lads as Millward wont let them get cup tied by playing for us either.

Does anybody know if there will be any web coverage of this game?

My thoughts exactly. And even if we do the unthinkable and win on Friday, the next round will be somewhat of a dastraction. I'd much rather have success in the league rather than a few tasty cup ties that take more out of the players and ultimately gives us very little.

| I'm sure the players will enjoy being given the chance to test themselves against better opposition so stick out the best lads and play with no fear and you never know.

Apart on the gate and the prizemoney and the media profile and the glory... All significantly increased if we win and progress. It's probably our most important game of the season in bet financial terms.

| What fiancial importance? the big money only starts in the next round, there will be rock all crowd, zero interest corporate and if we win the damn thing it doesn't count as a 'tick in the box' for any SL application, now name last years third round losers - so sod all 'glory' and I bet I can count the number of press photographers/ journo's who will be there on one hand so buzzer all media coverage. We stand the chance of picking up major minjuries and have little chance of any result, If's don't pay bills.

| Oh no. Every game is important.
We must play our strongest side. We must show the RFL we can compete. Send a weakened side out and folk who are interested will think same old.
We have a good side if we can compete it will impress the stayaways and financially will pay off in the long run.
I am under no illusions they have SIX times the money we can spend on players. We are Leythers not losers lets get there on Friday and show any newcomer watching Leigh is well worth the money.
This is a win win situation for OUR club.

you're assuming we'll lose. Truth is, we probably will, given who the Cats have beaten this season. But the money, the glory, the kudos, the publicity, will follow if we win. Losing might be more likely, but winning would be a windfall. We can (clearly) beat anyone outsie Soopahdoopah league, so a cup run WILL end with defeat against a top club. If it's this week, it doesn't amount to much, but if it's away at the Pies, particularly if that happens in the quarter finals after a lucky home draw against a Championship team, it will be a bonanza.

Or an unwanted distraction.........I`ll be there on friday hoping we put out our strongest side possible and do ourselves justice. If the Cats have a bad one and we sneak a win then I`ll be over the moon but I`d prefer a win over Dewsbury in the NRC SF to be honest.

| How many people still remember our Challenge Cup win v Salford , you never know what can happen with a team used to winning week in week out playing against one with inconsistent form ?
Its what fans pay to see , a game that the result actually matters on the day.
This is a huge match for Leigh, one virtually everyone I know is really looking forward to, biggest test of the season with a big scalp at stake.
