| Just been told by one of my Wigan friends  about a young half-back called Joe Mellor,hes from Warrington , but playing for the Pies,heard hecould be very good , maybe worth a look ,along with young Gareth OBrien , from the Wire,has anyone heard or seen other possible Duals?Does anyone know who if anybody scouts for young talent for Leigh ? |

| The lads been out injured for a long time, but ive been told he back now fully fit and raring to go, could be worth a look  , iknow we are not the Pies best Buds , but i dont care , if they are decent players, and ive been told this lad has potential. |

I don't think that other than a bit of fan rivalry there is any real malice between the clubs off the field, we have played each other in freindlies recently. I think that a talented young player whose had a bad injury would suit both clubs spending next year as a dual-reg at Leigh.

Is it worthwhile having a halfback under dual contract? There going to be the pivotal area to our attacking side and could be drifting in and out of the team - I'd prefer to try and build a partnership which will be steady bar injuries.

At the last LISA meeting IM said that we would be going with 3 from warrington and 1 from Saints again, if this is the case then I can't see Mellor coming.

I agree we should stay well away from a 6/7/9 for our DC's. Could be too damaging if we lose them at short notice or they are in/out of the team from week to week.
One prop, one 2nd row/loose, one centre and one winger would be ideal.
Tom armstrong from saints would be a good player to get on DC. Highly rated quality winger/centre but with a few lads Meli/Foster/Lomax/Gardner(if he stays) above him in the pecking order at saints. |

Also I heard Chris Dean had been let go by Saints. Don't know if he's found another club yet but he could be worth looking at as a centre/2nd row.
