I would have thought ours were a little less Frank.

They would have been a bit better but for our biggest matches being on a thursday night

Still nowhere near enough to make us a potential SL club though

4,000 in this league should be the benchmark for a move up to SL IMO

No they are correct our highest was v Widnes 3392 (Bigger than theirs when we played at their place)and lowest v Keighley 1265 when England played West Germany and our kick off time was moved to 1pm.

Ijust thought most of our crowds were about 1800 this season ,not many above 2000.

Ours is higher than what I thought it would be but still not good enough, if we ever want a crack at SL we need these to massivley improve but I just cannot see it happening.

Even if we start winning every game for the next 3 years by 30 points top the league each year and win the GF & NRC I just think people will have more excuses of why they can't come (no promotion, whats the point the leagues to easy etc)

Alot of fans want to watch superleague players.With been in the Championship and no promotion or relegation the fans have lost interest.Widnes used to have over 4000 when was just relegated, but now they are leaving due to poor rugby and performances.If Leigh got a licence your attendances would get a average better than Salfords. The away support is rubbish in this league.Leigh have brought the best away support this season to Widnes.

We have 5 games with over 2000 and our average has gone down because our last two home games where 1265 and 1682 respectively.

That's why they call them ' averages ' frank

Thanks Steve it never occurred to me how badly I put it. I should have posted after our poor spell recently (the Widnes away game excepted of course).

so does that mean no one in this division deserve too go up, as they dont have crowds above 4000

Crowds go up when watching sl games
our ave in sl when we were in it, was about 4500 too 4700
not bad for a team at the bottom of the league apart from one game

anyway back to my drinking at the side of the pool
and having a great time with the family

Crowds in this league will never get much higher than they are because of no automatic promotion. Going back 8-9 years I remember there being 5-6000 at Widnes when we played. Be interesting to see what our average was the season we went up.
