With the justifiable amount of criticism for the Leyth performance, I think it's only fair we have a separate thread to commend Dewsbury's performance.

Very well-drilled and well-coached side, we got owned at half back and they didn't half give us a lesson in support play.

They must have just been given some notes from the bull frogs last week! They just soaked up all our pressure for 20 mins then decided to give us a lesson at half back and support play and in enthusiasm all over the pitch! Oh and how to score tries from long distance! Out paced yet again!

Kick from the scrum for the winger! Little chip over defensive line with 2 runners either side! It's just what any half back should be doing! Thinking in his feet!!

One other thing, their win today has seen them safe for next season and relegated Whitehaven.

cheers for that matt,we have been playing some good stuff ov late,but not been getting the rub ov the green and some bad refs decisions against us,i had to laugh at some ov the predictions and remarks,someone said we have no pace outwide but we have some speedsters in ourside,i said on your forum underestimate us and you will get bit on the bum and thats what happened,think the leigh players might ov done the same,anyway good luck for the rest ov the season and luck forward to playing you again next season now were safe

Correct. Can't fault them at all, they obviously watched the tapes of the Batley game and set up to defend the same way. In addition to that they certainly took their chances much better than us.

Must say I was a bit surprised when I saw the result.

well i was very impressed with dewsbury, and am delighted they will be in our league next season, and that's not just because it means we can go to the dewsbury railway station, but because they are a credit to our league. I stopped and clapped the dews boys off and also spoke to and shook hands with quiote a few outside the ground, well done, a completely deserved win.

Aye they seemed a good craic and who can blame them for enjoying such a win. In fact, they reminded me a little of ourselves at the Stobart last week!
