"If a defending player carries the ball from OUTSIDE his own 20metre line to ground it over the try line it shall be deemed an 'own try' and the attacking side shall be awarded four points. However, as the attacking side did not ground the ball, the shall not be deemed to have earned they right to convert the try". I've never seen it done before!

Well that rules a nonsense .. what Nanyn did was to kill the game he could ve kicked the ball dead by 60 yds and the result would ve still been the same.......End of game.... No bonus point .

He could have ran the ball out of the side though instead of scoring at his own end, slightly showboating IMO. |

But he didn't and the rules state it's an own try(even though I didn't know there was such a rule (and neither did the ref)) |
