| Well said that man! Like how he mentions Leigh first, although Widnes have even more right to feel aggrieved.

| Was watching Sky Sports News and they interviewed some people from Wrexham and asked them to name a current rugby league player. None of them could! Never watch it was their response.

| Today Wrexham, next year WHO KNOWS
A DISGRACE, the bit about 'for the first time we have a whole of Wales' what a complete load of bullox, I predicted it wouldn't last three years I'll do the same now, WALES IS NOT INTERESTED IN RUGBY LEAGUE. Then again neither are the people of London either (the rest of the country isn't that bothered really as well).

..and as long as its only on a channel where games are watched by a million at best, but usually a few hundred thousand only it will remain that way. Surely SKY could sell games very cheaply to the BBC or ITV and from that they have new people to target, and clubs may benefit from extra fans at matches themselves. Advertising prices can be increased as they will be seen by 4 times as many fans (didn't CC games used to be watched by 4 million on BBC1)

| The RFL would never get the same money from another channel that Sky pay them. But that's not the issue. Instead of taking the game to areas where no one is interested we should be concentrating on areas that there is interest.

I totally agree get teams like widnes, leigh, fax and barrow in the top flight.

| In my eyes if wakey had a bad year, they would lose support and salford and quins not attracting many more fans. If leigh, widnes, fax, barrow went into superleague the attendances would double. One on more away fans and due to better quality. Not rocket science.

they would not get rid of quins, its against their "expansionism" guidelines.
now if we just went back to winner of our league replaced bottom of SL i wouldnt complain BUT what if we DID go up and the fans didnt turn up? we hardly filled hilton park back in 2005 did we?
no team should have the god given right to SL, remember where we finished last season?

That wasn't what I was saying. The RFL still get their money from SKY but SKy could maybe give/cheaply sell one game in four say to the BBC. It should be on freeview in one form or another or we face the prospect of losing clubs from all levels of the game.

Can't see how that would be in Sky's interests, as they'd lose the advertising revenue generated from screening the game and would no doubt still have to foot the production costs. If the Beeb or ITV wanted to screen live Super League games, then they'd have at least put in a bid at the last negotiations, regardless of how little their chances of winning (the two could at least compete with each other for the highlights package).

because they are a bigger club with double our fanbase, plus the main reason they lost out was because of historical financial issues, all sounds ironic now that Crusaders cash man has bottled it!
Only Leigh fans (and apparently Jonathon Davies) think Leigh DESERVE a place in SL. Most RL fans think Widnes should be in SL or at least that they have as much right to be in SL as any of the existing clique.
