Looking at the amount of injuries and the current situation we find ourselves in..... think we should be looking at bringing a few in to help us start to win games.

Dont think it would do the club any harm to enquire about some of these guys as its better for their development than playing in the reserves.Any thoughts?

I know for a fact we have tried for a number of those players but if the players first team coach wont let them go what can we do?

theres a couple you mention that wouldn't even cut it in championship one on current form

and a few that are playing bit part if not regular first team rugby. So half of them there's no chance.

How come that reserve players from other clubs are deemed suitable for Leighs first team, yet your own reserves who i may add are playing exceptionally well are considered "not upto standard" by certain individuals on this forum?

I agree our reserves are playing brilliant but you have to look at the
standard of the players they are playing against no disrespect to our lads but they are,nt playing teams like Leeds, Bradford Wigan, Saints ect ect
when they do then we will be able to see which are good enough to make the step up...Saying that i would drop the majority of the first team squad and put the best players out of the 21,s in they cant play any worse than that shower.

but so are some of the reserves (talented) its experienced players leigh need to take on loan i dont see the point of taking young loan players from sl clubs just because they are from a sl club when they are no better than some of leigh reserves in my opinion

Exactly, the step in the reserves div 1 and reserve championship is absolutley massive. The Wigan lads are playing at a higher level week in week out in their reserve league and I think it speaks volumes that the three mentioned are on the brink of the first team at Wigan. Not to mention all of the three are forwards and Flanagan can also cover 6 and 13. Just what we could have done with.

i was asking if you thought they where better players thats all because why else would you want to bring them in. i think leigh need experienced players as in sl/championship players, i dont see the point of taking reserve players from another club even if they are playing at an higher level when there are players in leigh reserves who can offer just as much and have proved it over the season
