Awesome effort from Dave, he isn't fully fit and put his body on the line and was brilliant in defence. He will be a real big player for us this year, he has the ability to turn and get the ball away in the tackle which he did to good effect today.

Wow. The guy was playing on one leg and was by far the MOM. Attracted defenders every time he took the ball in. Defence was top notch and he ran himself to a standstill.

Haven't seen enough of him to make my own judgments but everyone else waxes lyrical about the guy.
Lets hope he can manage to play against Barrow, although I can't help thinking 2 games in 4 days may be too much to handle if he's not 100%.

Sorry Maur. As much as I thought Daver had a good game I also thought Hobbo did his bit for the win. He put in some good hits and if there had been a decent set of officials out there today Wignes's penalty count would matched, no passed ours. Mr Laughton and Tweedle De and Dumber should be put out to pasture. No, put down. I have never witnessed a more one sided reffing of a match and some of the decisions were disgracefull. |

Thats what I thought too and for folk who didn,t go cos they thought we,d lose and for the folk who think we are biased watch the DVD. Laughton is possessed for some reason when he refs our games. |
