| It's worth mentioning that tickets must be bought today. There is no 'pay on the door' apparently.

| Just to let everyone know they can still attend the fun day at 11 without tickets it's just the special offer that includes the game that s not available tommorrow it's £2 for kids for the fun day and lasts up to two o clock. You can then buy tickets to the game ! Isn't a fiver for kids anyway ?

| Hi Lynda
The club are very happy for the organisers to offer admission in the £2 for under 11's, so unless there is some sort of legal reason tomorrow then sell as many as you can, all £2 going to the very deserving cause.
Good luck tomorrow, we have a decent forecast and I hope Braiden has a great day
Well done to all the organisers
Neil

| Seemed to be pretty well attended. I hope the organisers raised a good sum for a really deserving cause. I know it brought a tear to my eye to see the young chap on the pitch at half time - I really hope the miracle can be achieved for him.
Thanks to the organisers of the fun day - a cracking job, well done to the Leigh Community Group and their helpers. Apart from my grandkids having a good time, I have three excellent memories:-
- Allan and Andy Mazey, doing a stint in the 'stocks', along with Rob Parker, being soaked with wet sponges. That was very sporting and brave of them. (I hope there were no bricks hidden in the sponges, guys?) In all honestly I can't have seen Trevor and Keith doing that!
- Derek's Formula One simulator parked by the sign saying 'Blue Badge Holders Only'!
- The two donkeys stood waiting for the next customers, beside the GMPT bus stop!
A true fun day, all round!

| I was so pleased it went so well .
I enjoyed seeing the kids faces and the atmosphere was great.
Andy, Alan and rob were great sports too.
My brother ended up as Micky Mouse and his name is mick so when all the kids was singing oh Micky or oi Micky to him it was quite funny.

| You beat me to it Alan , a good day in the end after a quiet start , also a thank you to the Mazey's , Alan and Andy for their good sportsmanship in joining in , Rob Parker as well
A special word for Andy Mazey's Daughter [ I think ] for being the only one that managed to flip the F1 simulator upside down [ dont worry Dereck , it was only the ' virtual ' car
Thanks to all the contributors on the day , too many to put all on here , but special thanks to Derecks F1 guy , his patience with all those kids was admirable , especially after a 7 hour drive back from Scotland yesterday , and Dereck of course for letting us use it
I hope Braden and his family had a good day , I know the various BOD members that came out to observe and join in were pleased with how it went , thanks for letting Tonia and her helpers put it on

| Quote: SRW1996 "Great day all round, pleasure to be able to play a very small part in making things happen and while your dishing out the thanks Steve you should take great credit for the hard work you have put into today's event indeed everyone associated well done it was a credit to all and a sign of things to come next year and beyond as we all pull this great club and community together.
Truly Humbled to have met Braiden a inspirational young boy who I hope had a day to remember, really does sink in what matters when you are fortunate to share a few minutes with special people like we have today.
The cheque we were given at half time for 363.00 was a great gesture from the community grouo however we shall be donating this back to Braidens charity as the real winner today was everyone who got to come along and enjoy his special day with him.
As for my daughter Hannah she won't be getting dads keys when she passes her test
A brilliant gesture by the club, to put the icing on an excellent 'community' day.
