Apparently a bloke has a couple of million quid spare and is giving one of them to Featherstone to forge their way into Super League. Anybody heard anything about it?

Hopefully they might invest in some security down there.

Well it won't be going anywhere near the team anyroad. And as one of the few clubs who still own their ground (not to mention the acres surrounding it), you've got to wonder about his motives...

This bloke seems to have the ability to build peoples hopes up, then just as quickly deflate them,i hope that dont happen at fev, they deserve better.

Is there a backstory to this?

Previous dealings with previous clubs (Halifax and Castleford spring to mind).

Halifax and Castleford spring to mind but he's also had a nibble at wigan as well,i think.
He talks the talk but doesn't seem to part with any money

Whether it comes off or not we will see but no club can refuse a person wanting to invest in a rugby club no matter how much they are prepared to give Things have improved over the last few years and just seem to be getting better week by week Off the field people are working endless hours to get things right as I see it as a club we seem to be doing everything right to be running things professionally and this could be the icing on the cake We should all know by Friday Good luck next season but we want to keep that league shield for a fourth year

Any club outside SL that can attract outside investment deserves credit.

However I'd be asking the Cas and Fax fans about the false dawns before putting any flags up.

Has he paid up to Cas yet. He has his finger in so many pies, it looks like he's just waiting for one to come good. He just goes with the flavour of the month then walks having parted with very little or none at all when the money doesn't roll in.

This just my opinion based on past reports of his dealings.

It does,nt matter how much money you plough into a RL Club if you don't run it as a business with people who know how to run a successful club then it's gonna be money down the drain...
Look at all the hard earned dosh Arthur Thomas put into Leigh and what happened when he had to pull out Neetmare..........
Got to admit the current board and back room staff and Lisa / Lottery ect are a credit to the Club and Sport in general for what they have done over the last 12 months

Probiz seem to get everywhere - arent they at West Brom as well - but are they actually investing owt? No disrespect to Fev but why is such an "illustrious" businessman making their SL bid his primary goal - what happened to his dream with Cas a few miles away?

There is a difference, he has just been a sponser at other clubs but after this investment he will be a major shareholder at Fev. His role at Fev will be huge if the 7 figure sum is true. I'm sure as a businessmen there will be something in it for him, but if Fev and Feisal both benefit in the long run then i can't say this is a bad thing. The work on and off the field at Fev over the last few years has been remarkable, while certain other clubs near by have stagnated Fev have progressed without the millions from Sky. The new stand project was a great idea and will improve the stadium massively upon completion. Just hope promotion and relegation comes back now.
