Its a wonderful thing!

How many people slated the lad on here when he was in charge of Leigh?????

Yet he never took the club to depths that this comedian Rowley has and he didnt have the budget Kelly and Rowley wasted either.

Think Darren had the makings of a very good coach with inovative coaching ideas and techniques and given time and support from both the Directors and the Spectators may have stood a chance to at least emulate the achievements of Darren Abram.

How many quallity up and coming RL people have been forced/ allowed to leave the club down the the Rowley Factor???

The list in not only endless but also shameless.

Tommy Martyn for instance with his profile in the british game would and should have been an up and coming english coach and would have attracted the right calibre of player and commanded respect. What do we do go for a unproven Kiwi with no track record of even coaching men let alone a full time group of players.

What did Heath Cruckshank do to deserve the treatment he got????

Sadly we are leigh and we are lossers and always will be by the looks of things.

Sunday will be a day for Paul Rowley to hang his head win, lose or draw and if he has the slightest bit of dignity walk away and let the club move on. Dont believe what ever the result this will happen but it would be the right thing to do.

I take no pleasure in writing this but then again have taken no pleasure in watching the fiasco that is Leigh Centurions unfold since the day we won the grand final at widnes in 2004.

Doubt this post will be popular with the Rowley police but it needs saying!!!

WOW Get it off your chest why don't you - and on your first post too - or is it??

For what it's worth to you I do not believe it is all one person's (or two if that fits) fault - a combination of factors have made this season a dire one for Leigh RL Club - what ever the result and outcome on Sunday we (the true fans) will be there at the start of the next season supporting our team and possibly moaning about results again or maybe rejoicing - who knows - that's life icon_smile.gif

Agreed.

When the titanic sank there were lots of contributing factors i supose but without the iceberg it would have been fine.

Everyone who knows even the slightest about Leigh RL knows who the iceberg at the club is.

Its just a shame even if or when we do sink you can guarentee who will come up wearing a life jacket as its so predictable.

I admit things havent gone as people wanted but i dont think that the board at leigh have ever at any time taken a decision that they didnt think was right for the club,

tony benson had a great track recrd of coaching tonys problem was he had to many plyers who liked a beer or two (rob roberts and jules o' neil) and he couldnt manage them.

They have signed players with good pedigrees but havent produced it for leigh for whatever reason. (i am not listing the players because there has been a few)

i am sure every one would have done things differently if they had a crystal ball but we dont so if your not happy dont come to the LSV on sunday and cheer your team on i will be absolutly gutted if the worst happens on sunday but will also be there next season come what may

I don't know please tell us!
Abram,Martyn and Shaw have hardly set the RL world on fire have they!
I don't know Paul Rowley but reading and listening to his comments he dosn't inspire me.
All season we have played 'down the middle' without success, we might as well have thrown the ball about even though, we'd have had the same result however, the fans would have enjoyed it more!

A couple of defeats and the rats are back from under their stones. If Tommy wanted to be back in coaching he would be, just think he might be enjoying his life without RL!

Its certainly been a strange season but after Sunday its the beginning of a new era.

Worst case scenario is we are in Div 1 with the same team we would of recruited any how. Lots of wins, more local derbies, quite possibly more away fans and most certainly more home fans. And still every chance of a trip to Blackpool. Is Sunday a total disaster, probably not.

Cheer up Mr Wonder!

Me thinks you have mis-understood him. I think he means we have already recruited a squad for next season irrespective of what league we are in

For me the mess we're in now began when the club didn't back Tony Benson and many others followed him out of the club in protest.

We've never got things right since in my opinion.
