| I see Bradford got a hammering at Wakefield today. (18-4icon_cool.gif Normally, I might have derived pleasure from seeing our rivals getting pasted. However, this result shows just how hard OUR task is going to be, in these next two games.
Come on lads, prove me wrong - again!

| I like how there's a change of mentality of people on the board...... at first we were going to go unbeaten, now its a tough league......
People seem to be waking up to the fact that it will be really hard for us to get promoted, no matter whats gone on before (Challenge Cup QF, not lost a home game in 2 years etc...)

They're proving the old mantra that it's all about how you perform in the play-off games. Of course, whoever came up with that one, probably hadn't considered a team not trying for the entire league season, beforehand!

No change of mentality from me - I never thought any of this was going to be easy!

| Anybody who thought we were going to walk the 8's was seriously deluded. We may be FT. However there is a massive difference between FT playing all so rans in championship and FT playing SL every werk

| As a Wakey fan it's the change of coach thats made a huge difference. James Webster was totally out of his depth this year and unfortunately we hung onto him too long. At Websters request thank god B. Smith got in touch and we are starting to play as we should. The change on players would have meant nothing without Smith being here…he is now getting the players to perform like they should have been doing. It's going to be a very interesting and hard going few weeks but at least we are starting to be competitive. See you all next week .

Who said we are going to go unbeaten? I doubt you can find more than 1 or 2 of even the most one eyed Leigh fans who have said (not in jest) that we would go unbeaten. Maybe some have said we are capable of winning every game, this is not the same as saying we will go unbeaten.
Everyone knows it is a tough challenge and that it will take a huge effort to get promoted.
I remain convinced Mookachaka that you are not and never have been a Leigh fan. You thrive on negativity and post 9 negatives for every positive. You are always 1st in to stir the pot and the last to praise.
I await your smug criticisms tomorrow should we lose

Its like all sports, how you perform on the day is what counts. Why people keep doubting instead of supporting is beyond me..Very easy to turn around and say we won't win,but if we do win you'll be the first to let us all know, won't you.

Bradford got dominated around the ruck in both defence and attack. Wakey ran riot playing down the middle off a quick PTB. The middle defence from Bradford was shocking and Wakey targeted their left side HB/Centre partnership of Gaskell/Siejka and Purtell and ran through that gap all day. When Lee Smith keeps strolling through without a hand laid on him then you know you have problems!!
But also Wakey looked much improved from mid season and for the 1st 30 mins showed a similar style of great game management and high completion rugby to what HKR did to us in the 2nd half last weekend.
They will take heart from that performance and will certainly fancy their chances against us next week!

Rubbish. As a fan can you seriously suggest to us that Webster had money to play with? Yet it suddenly appears with a 3 year out of league coach arrival who's taking mentoring from his brother makes it all sweet and new signings appear.
If James Webster had been given the provisions Smith has been given,I doubt you would be any different.

| Up to now early results have been in favour of the SL clubs. It's up to Leigh to upset that applecart tomorrow.
I believe we can win at Salford, but if we don't, then Wakefield will seriously fancy their chances next week.
In short, tomorrow's match just got even bigger.
Can't wait.
COYL!!!!!!!!!!!

| Atomic…..the players James Webster had should not have been performing like they did . in a few case you have to say the players that have come in do not have as good a pedigree that have left. Collis Paea,McShane replaced by Tansey Walker Moore for example . The fact remains if a coach can't coach it doesn't matter whose name is on the team sheet.

It's gone now, all water under the bridge and all that, but fwiw Webster was given all the money that was available for team recruitment and spent it on the players he wanted, there was no money available for Smith for recruitment and every player he brought in to the club was a replacement for one that left, it's all well documented as you probably know already 1/10.
