Leigh Centurions are delighted to announce that pre-sales for the Kingstone Press Championship game against London Broncos this coming Sunday 1 March (3pm) have now topped the 3,400 mark.

Supporters are advised that seating in the West Stand (North) is once again becoming very limited. Any supporters wishing to get a seat at that end of the ground are urged to buy a ticket as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment.

Leigh Centurions Commercial Executive Amanda Lee said: “We are grateful to you all for your continued support in this landmark #RLNewEra season for Rugby League and are delighted to build upon the record-breaking crowd for the Round One fixture against Bradford Bulls. Corporate sales for the game are also very healthy.”

Leigh Centurions’ thrilling 36-24 victory over the Bulls was watched by a crowd of 7,449, the highest for a Leigh fixture since their move to the new stadium in 2009 and was the third highest home crowd for a Leigh game in the summer era (since 1996).

Early indications for the Broncos game suggest a 5,000 crowd is possible and tickets are on sale at the Ticket office at LSV during normal opening hours, at the Retail Outlet at Leigh Market.

Supporters are also reminded that tickets are available during opening hours at Atico’s Hair & Beaty, West Bridgewater Street, Leigh and at the following Bravo Inns locally- Hilton Park, Leigh Road, Leigh; Canal Turn, Chapel Street, Leigh; Red Lion, Westleigh Lane, Leigh and the Punch Bowl, Atherton. And also at The Centurion and Britannia Inn on St Helens Road and Leigh East Clubhouse on Ledgard Avenue.

For details of corporate opportunities at Leigh Centurions please do not hesitate to contact Amanda Lee on (01942) 487898 or by email on: Amanda.Lee@leighrl.co.uk

this is the sort of news I prefer to talk about. This is fantastic news. Except for playoffs and Fev matches this crowd beats last season's efforts with little or no travelling fans

Plenty of time till Sunday too so I think crowd will easily beat our last seasons highest.

See Tommy Goulden has been suspended for two games following the Bradford game.

It's the first home game I'll have missed in many years, I'm away on business so I'll be leaving your music & screen in the hands of someone else this Sunday. Hope it's a great performance in front of a great crowd.

Even 4,500 would be tremendous, with no away fans...look how far we have come in the last 2 years...attendance has almost tripled.

3500 would be a creditable attendance. Onwards and upwards.

3500+ is a great effort by all concerned anything approaching 4500 would be fantastic.

I took my B-I-L and his twins to Fax, on the way he said "I feel like I'm jumping on a bandwagon"

I said "You are icon_eek.gif icon_lol.gif but that's just what this club needs now, I hope you continue coming and we can get another 4000 to jump on board".

Him, the boys, and the S-I-L have all got tickets for Sunday. icon_biggrin.gif

The Broncos are bringing a coach - I wonder how often that has happened in the past?

Actually, if their 'back room staff' are as numerous as at other SL clubs, they would need a large coach (bus!) to bring them all to Leigh! icon_wink.gif
