I feel so sad and heartbroken to think this could be the end of Leigh Centurions. I have supported Leigh through thick and thin for over 50 years but the situation we are currently in seems to be irreversible.
I have heard names of new investors no doubt we have all heard a few names. But I fear the situation is going to far to great for someone to successsfully start again. I really hope I am wrong .
I hope Andy Burnham can help with the LSV situation.its appalling what they have done with the Man Utd ladies fuxtures for next season its like we have gone already. I don’t know who us to blame for this predicament but I pray we come out of it a stronger club with a lot of lessons learned.

We (Derek) haven't paid ground rent at the LSV for ages.. Only Wigan council intervening has allowed us to continue playing there. We got kicked off the Harriers/East pitches for the same. Piss poor management in all departments.

New member with a small amount of inside info, it wouldn't take much for a stubborn player to force the club into liquidation by enforcing their contract terms, baily not on enough money but someone like Acton could and from what I here at the moment he's not for compromising.

trouble is Harold he knows he won't get another club to pay him anywhere near the money he's on at Leigh and I think he's got another 2 yrs left on his contract so iv heard he said he'll sue...the club should sue him for misconduct because he goes missing last 2 months of season

You see with acton a former coach didn't want him due to his deceplin & lets be honest not that good to which his boss thought better & gave him a contract behind the coaches back, which was the start of things in him deciding to leave

Of course, any player forcing the club into liquidation, then wouldn't get any money, would they?

Another fascinating point - is a player who doesn't make himself available for selection, in breach of contract? Not sure how that stacks up with someone who is say, suspended from playing for extremely long periods of time?
