| [b:jajy0gsh][u:jajy0gsh]2025 Huddersfield Giants[/u:jajy0gsh][/b:jajy0gsh]
A new Head Coach and a new season without having to follow “the process”. Huddersfield under Ian Watson appeared to have lost their way, the players looked unfit and disinterested. Luke Robinson appears to have the dressing room, but the question is how good the squad really is.
[b:jajy0gsh][u:jajy0gsh]2024 Season Review [/u:jajy0gsh][/b:jajy0gsh]
A mediocre season for a team expected to perform on a much higher level. In the end they were comfortably the best team out of the bottom end of the table, but some way of challenging for the play-offs.

[b:jajy0gsh][u:jajy0gsh]Transfer Analysis[/u:jajy0gsh][/b:jajy0gsh]
10 out and 6 in for a revamped Huddersfield Giants gives Luke Robinson a little less to play with. The marquee signing will be Tom Burgess. Tom has spent almost all his career in Australia, and intends to return after his playing career ends. This rings alarm bells for why he is choosing to play out his career at Huddersfield. I believe if he was still good enough he would have chosen to stay in Australia. Anticipated to play 2 spells of 20 minutes, Huddersfield will get only half a game out of one of their key players.
Departing the club are two of the best centres in Super League, Esan Marsters and Kevin Naiqama. They are to be replaced by Jacob Gagai and Taane Milne both wingers, with Gagai expected to play at Fullback.
[b:jajy0gsh][u:jajy0gsh]2025 Predictions[/u:jajy0gsh][/b:jajy0gsh]
Another team with a new Head Coach in charge. Huddersfield look solid if not spectacular. The Jake Connor experiment did not work, but this might give the club a little more stability and a little less creativity. Adam Swift will want to continue his rich try-scoring record, which was curtailed by injury.
I expect a bit more grit from this Huddersfield team, but do not expect them to compete for a play-off spot. Anticipating a 8th place finish.

......George King........[/quote:2gqexo9k]
Wrote off King (or "Cing" as the back of his shirt styled him that day) at the LSV for the World Cup tie 'twixt Lebanon All Fakes & Ireland All Fakes - Chambo scored that day.
The Aussies were well on top and, eventually, worthy winners but that does NOT excuse an opposition player staying down needlessly (lazily) or hiding behind his fellow defenders (in a cowardly fashion) as the cork and string hatted hordes raged forward again.
Really got Bongser's goat.
Rant Over & Out!!
