It is par for the course, criticising referees is the easiest course of action, it means you can ignore the missed tackles, dropped balls, wrong choices, etc. It is always the referee’s fault. In the move that followed the “knock on” how many missed tackles were there?

| The players saw the clear and obvious knock on by the Warrington player and expected the referee to blow the whistle. He didn't which was down to the incompetence of the officials. The players should have played to the whistle, but it is not fair on the players blame them rather than excuse the officials for such a poor decision at a crucial point in the match. If it had been 'sent upstairs' the try would have been disallowed.

The players should have played to the whistle, correct.

| Far from thinking that the Refs are corrupt / bent/ biased or however it’s phrased , the bigger teams , especially when at home appear to get the rub of the green .
Some of the decisions which have gone against us , saints away being 1 has been puzzling.
The same can be said when we have been flying high in the championship and we seemed to get some odd decisions our way.
The amount of times you see a ref making a wrong call, then realising his error on screen and making up for it
a few sets later is a regular occurrence.

| The nrl has it right. When a try is scored and the referee has awarded it, the bunker looks at all the build up to the try and if they see anything the officials missed, they bring it to the refs attention and replay the build up and show the infringement and then disallow the try. Wires try would not have stood as the knock on would have been spotted.

17580.jpg First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

| The simple answer is bring in the captains challenge. We have cameras and a video ref at every game. The fact that this was missed by all the on field officials is poor but a captain’s challenge would have been the solution to this vital error and several more in every game. I do not personally rate this referee, but I do not think he is corrupt either. The bigger error was made by the touch judge in this instance for me, but regardless of who the finger is pointed at, a captain’s challenge would have lead to a different result.
