| At this point, I think the loan makes perfect sense. Two weeks initially leaves options open while things settle. I did think that we would see McNamara in the 17, especially with Edwin down, but this seems to suggest that this may not happen in the coming weeks. I like Dwyer as a player, with my only reservation being he does sometimes give away cheap penalties.
At the end of the day, I trust Lam’s judgement and think he adds to the team until Edwin is back.

| Game one done, and it was a very difficult game for any 9 to say the least, and I think Dwyer did very well overall. He has that spark from acting halfback, that gets a team on the front foot, and he puts a ton of work in on defence also. He did also display the area of his game that has always worried me, giving away a couple of needless penalties and picking up a yellow. That said the yellow was really, really soft, and somehow not repeated for an identical situation when we had the ball under the Saints posts a few minutes later.
So far, so good for me, and if (big if right now) we have the chance to sign him for the season, with a reasonable deal, I’d role those dice.

| I'd be happy too if we were able to sign him.

| If we were to sign brad on a permanent deal it would make a pretty lethal combo with Edwin , don't think there's ever been any doubt of Brad's ability/potential but can't say I'm privvy to the reason why he's never quite nailed down that 1st choice spot at any of his previous clubs
