| Quote: Cokey "Ian, you know me, I can get on with anybody, so i could socialise with anyone. I had a cracking day yesterday with the privilege of having a few scoops with the one and only John Woods, and a reet good laugh.'"
Derek , I think we all had a good day yesterday, I was there in 71 and will be there inAugust when I’m 71 on the 1st of August, great being a Leyther.

| £100 for coach and match ticket. Happy with that. Only disappointment is that I don't suppose we'll be hanging around for the 1895 game, which is a shame, and a truly daft idea to have that on last.

| A big Phat P.H.E.W!
Tickets confirmed a couple of hours ago.
As a four year old in 1971, was deemed too young for the trip. Watched it on Grandad's shaky and snowy b/w tele (occasional hefty bang about a third of the way down the right (looking on) of the box to sort the vertical alignment).
Was on Dad's shoulders for the parade the next day.
He is nine years under the non playing field now, but Bongser will give him a full match report the next day - hopefully after a victory parade!!
COYL!!

17580.jpg First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

| We both missed 71 Bongser but we will both be there in 2023, and reporting back to our respective Dads in the same manner.
It’s been a bit of a juggle, some gnashing of teeth and a bit of sweet talking to Mrs VL, but myself and VL Junior (Jack), are now booked for flights and have tickets for the game. I had problems getting them from the Leopards website unfortunately and eventually got through but what had been available were sold out. No complaints from me by the way, it’s amazing to know that so many Leythers are invading Wembley. I ended up going through the RFL and was able to get tickets in 113, right next to the club allocated tickets, and actually up against block 112. I’m betting everyone around there will be Leythers regardless. I thought about the halfway line, but my Dad would be right behind the sticks (and move at halftime if possible), so behind the sticks it is.

| Wembley memories of 71, I was 19 years old never been to London , travelled down in an Austin Maxi , with a few lads from the Bridgewater Hotel, Dave Bell the Landlords son was one, had a trip round Soho , opened my eyes there , my ticket was 50p behind the sticks at the scoreboard end, decilmisation had just come in , a great time then back to Leigh to see the team at the Town Hall, never forget it .

| I was there too Charlie as a 17 year old. A gang of us travelled down in the back of a Ford Transit with a crate of beer. We camped somewhere in Enfield. We was right behind the sticks where Dave Eckersley feinted for a drop goal then sidestepped his way to the try line. Absolutely manic. Boozing London Saturday night with a load of Arsenal supporters who had just done the double, and Rugby Union supporters. Then at the Town Hall for the victory parade the day after. Never seen so many people. Amazing memories. Never thought we'd go again after losing 2 more semi finals.
