This is great news. We need a big game from Ava and all the forwards. There were a couple of runs in the Sanford game that showed what he can do, we need that to be the norm and for longer minutes now we are hitting the stage of the season where we can put together a run for more than just survival. We beat Wakey by controlling the middle and getting clean fast ball from our own play the balls. That way the gaps appear for Edwin in the middle, and the wider moves create overlaps for our wingers to finish. Hopefully Big Ben and O’Brien are fit to play as both are vital to our attacking team balance in their own way, especially O’Brien.
We actually were not that far off in the Wigan game, all things considered, and we were the better team against Salford, we just didn’t turn the chances we created into points often enough. Wakey will do their best to slow us down around the ruck. We need to stay patient and solid down that middle, the rest will come from that.
If we have Ava and Ben firing on all cylinders, we will roll over Wakey once they tire.
