I suppose its a variety of reasons - some of the players know they aren't going to be retained, 1st time out for half backs, end of season dip in form, players carrying knocks. players out of position. They only played a ten minute spell at beginning of 2nd half. Credit to York. They are a tight-knit group on a shoestring. They are the team of the Championship. Ive been expecting them to slip up all season but theyve kept going. Well done York.
In praising (rightly so IMO) the superb contribution and team spirit of the local lads, throughout the season, we tend to forget the big part played by the young Saints D/R players. Each and every player from Saints, has been excellent.
