Quote: GUBRATS "But that's my point , our drop goal attempts were under pressure , they knew we would be doing it ,
Last week after we had scored and got to 6 behind Toronto with 14/13 minutes left , we should have gone up the middle ( we ended up with a repeat set as they knocked on ) and kicked a 1 point , making it a 1 score game to win ( again added pressure on your opposition ) and we retain the ball for a 4 succssesive set
I do wonder if we have any form of ' play book ' as in the captain or HB makes a call and everybody then knows what we are going to do ?'"
It's a fair point, but I feel too many individual mistakes robbed any chance of going for a 1 point, or getting a pen to convert. Think we went through a spell where we lost the ball within the first two tackles in about 4 consecutive sets. Then, when we did make it 8-8, we gifted them the chance to take 1 point by failing to gather the kick off.
Wouldn't know about play book. But they look like a team that uses the majority of the small time they have together working on defence. This is fair enough, but I'd suggest that the next two weeks are must win games, and we'll need attack to be better.
