Any comparison with Bradford is not accurate. DB might have spent big to push for SL, but my understanding now is that he is taking pre-emptive action ahead of a known funding gap that he doesn't want to bridge, in a transparent way. Whereas at Bradford various owners kept spending when they knew they didn't have the funds and drove us into the abyss.
Hopefully whoever takes over from DB wont be left with unmanageable debt or wage structure and you can rebuild in a sustainable way.

Its always the risk relying on one man to keep funding over and above what the club earns, but at least he appears to trying to leave without leaving more liability than he has to, and Im no DB fan but if he's going to leave that's the least worst way to do it I suspect, so fair play.

Not unless we get in to SL, which you can get very long odds on. I doubt the club has the money and the move from part time to full time would mean a whole new squad and probably paying over the odds for left over full time players that none of the other teams want. Obviously you can bypass all that if you have someone willing to pump a shed load of money in but we don't.

So basically survival of the club dictates progression. But as you say IF you got back into SL that would change.

Survival of the club has to dictate progression. Too many teams have tried and failed with boom or bust and at Fax we have seen it a few times. Ive no idea how we progress to the next level though, it has to be about getting people through the gates.
