2 top earning players were on £100k, some others were on between £60 & £80k. £1.25million doesn't stretch far when you are paying out those levels. There have always been short falls to cover every season under Beaumont. Incidentally those short falls were covered by loans from AB Sundecks rather than from Dereks personal bank account. |

Probably because when something is posted once it is read, digested and either agreed with or not.
When something is posted ad nauseum, people stop reading them because it becomes a crusade rather than a comment.

Did he not have an imput on changing the Championship Salary Cap? Without that we would never have seen SL.

Very true, but we still wouldn’t have got to SL without that change. Something the likes of Toronto didn’t have to deal with. |

You definitely got the good, the bad and the ugly with Derek,
The good - Crowds up by about 2.5x on when he took over. Seeing the likes of Fuifui Moimoi that we never thought would happen. Promotion,
The bad - Series of bad decisions that has led to where we are now. Letting his ego / stubbornness / vendetta against the Rowleys cloud his judgement on the coach. Always had the impression he sees himself as part of the playing staff / the star. Don't know if other clubs have the owner front and centre of the team photo! Scrapping the reserves. Relegation.
The ugly - Social media (his brother is even worse), threatening to pull the plug every time someone criticised him
Overall, we'll know at the start of next season whether he has left the club in a better state than he found it in. Unfortunately for all the money, he's too volatile an individual to bring an established SL status to the club.
