After watching a replay of the game from Saturday, in the manner how Leigh lost how much will that effect Leigh mentally ?
Within the first half Leigh lost the possession 8 times, that's 8 sets not completed. However, as we seen with less than 20 mins to go Leigh squashed a comfy lead.
in addition to this, with less than 5 mins to go Hutchinson decided to make an attacking kick, to which the Toronto winger caught ran 70 metres & put Leigh under pressure immediately & won the game from there !
Why didn't Leigh suffocate the game & Hutchinson kick the ball in the back of the stand ? Get the scrum, slow the game right down to Leigh's level not Toronto's & get themselves reset. I'm not Wayne Bennett but what is going inside Hutchinson's head at all ?
The other issue I witnessed was how easy Leigh's forwards were dominated in contact. They didn't make many wins in contact & was more or less put on their backs very easily. Overall, how much will this effect Leigh mentally ?
Don’t think it will effect the lads at all if anything should fire them up even more going into Friday Leeds coming back of a loss at Catalan and playing at fev is like a away game for them to which I see as a leveller. We need to keep the faith and get behind the lads if we come up short against Leeds it won’t be by many
The Leeds match is almost the perfect tonic for Saturday's sloppiness.... What better way than to at least boost confidence again by performing well against SL Champs.
