Also, Hock receives a one match penalty notice for a retaliatory punch on Griffin, but Griffin receives a zero match penalty notice for punching Hock?!?!?

What a farce Toronto v Wire game was on Saturday. Listening to Brian Noble enthusing the merits of Toronto and Rugby League well Brian, both the City of Toronto and the game of Rugby League have been in existence for quite some considerable time and now, Canada is to become the 'New World' of Rugby League! Brian's Canadian team had nine former Leigh players in their seventeen man squad and, to my knowledge not one of them has any Canadian heritage only, Leigh RLFC's! You may say what does that matter? It matters that the BBC didn't publicise the fact and, our National Viewers could have been excused had they thought the Toronto team contained any Canadians? Whoever the Toronto team were representing they did nothing only thoroughly embarrass them and, if former Leigh players Kay and Dixon were the Villains, they were aided and abetted by their Australian/Fijian teammates McCrone, Lussick and Sims who were nothing short of disgraceful! We usually vent our anger towards the Referee's following a Match however, Referee Ben Thaler handled Saturday's game admirably and at least showed the National Viewers our Refs will demand, respect!
If these players do not receive any further punishment's for their behaviour then the RFL, will have failed to enforce their demand for Respect in our game!

If we are to expect our teams to compete with a Canadian Rugby League team, shouldn't we at least expect to have some Canadian influence in their team? Currently we are Flying (mainly) part time UK teams over to Canada to play against, UK and Aussie players!

Chris Hill didn't gob off at Ben Thayler he approached him once and told him of an incident which as captain he is allowed to do. Ben dismissed his approach and he walked away. McCroney was gobbing off all the time at the ref and quite rightly got pulled. He didn't shut up and showed no respect to the ref so he had to walk. He had more than a fair crack before he was carded. The reason the sending off was sufficient and no further action was taken was because they lost the game because of the offences and that is penalty enough, not because the cards weren't warrented. Ben Thayler officiating was first clas I thought and I don't hate Toronto at all.

So, if they had won they would have been suspended? Committing the offence should be punished irrespective of the result.
