What is true is that we once had an excellent coach, a team with wonderful spirit playing champagne rugby, a set of fans who were at one with the players and the coach. All of that has been systematically dismantled and we are now going to spiral into Champ1 but we will survive and rise again. May take a few years but Leigh RL is bigger than 1 man.

However if you give it the Mr. Big Shot in public you better be able to take it when it gets rough. How about riding the storm and using the so called business and marketing skills to respond accordingly and rallying the troops. We're only on a 3 consecutive game losing streak, promotion is still possible.

Absolutely, our destiny is still in the players' hands for the next few games, at least. No point in criticising the fans. The players should be good enough (based on their NRL experience and the money they are earning) to be beating oppostion teams without ANY fan support! However, if Derek walks away, all is lost because we simply would not be able to compete at the level we have recently become accustomed to.

We are we're we are some decent players released but let's give KP a chance to turn things round, hopefully will assert himself as he seems to have done with some decent team changes this week and start pulling this team together with DB backing him.

I must admit I like Purtill, whether he's ready to bounce Leigh back to SL I'm not sure. But a nice player in a dark period for Leigh with a good rugby brain and excellent footballing skills. Talks a good game as well unlike the monotonous middle manager Jukes. Jebus, Jukes was so freaking dull. The most impressive thing how after retiring early through injury (if memory serves me right), Purtill quickly got involved with coaching at SL level and must have a good 10-15 years experience now, albeit not as head coach.

Cunningham however seems to be a shark and gets whatever he wants and may end up with the coaching job. I'm sure it was in his plans from the start to oust Jukes when the time was right.

4. Page 3 of the match program

Maybe other places as well

This is what he got in return
1. 3,500 turn up
2. Singing there hearts out getting behind the lads
3. Not once did the fans boo
4. No clapping the opposition

And still I am hearing he has walked away

Its about time he came clean and stop using the fans as a scapegoat

All this is not going to help the moral of the players or get a future coach is it
