The Watcher is very pleased that England have finally reached their first World Cup final under the leadership of Super League, though it has taken 21 long years. In the 1995 final we lost 16-8, it will be interesting to see if that gap has been narrowed. The Watcher however believes that England is very very lucky to be there at all. The Watcher would like to ask the question again, has Super League done our great game of Rugby League any good whatsoever. The Watcher thinks not.

The issue is the NRL bandwagon is getting further and further ahead due to income. We need a BoD that starts to reduce that gap so we can expand and invest in tomorrows playing pool

If SL had followed the same path as the NRL (mergers,feeder clubs) we wouldn't be having this conversation. There is no stability,or structual pathways in the English game anymore. The SL elite created that! Now its all gone stale they require more finance from the lower tiers (or the pot) to feed their addiction.
