Remember watching him as a kid. RIP Stan.

Stan was very often in the Legends Bar, prior to our games in recent seasons and, I thought he always looked well!
Unfortunately Stan wasn't blessed with pace however, he always put a good shift in!
An amusing incident that made the national Press involved Stan at a Training session on the old 'A' team pitch on Kirkhall Lane (B&Q is sited there now) when he ran into a brick Wall and injured his face! needless to say Stan was highly embarrassed by his picture in the National Press
Stan made his debut in August 1961!
RIP Stan a good Servant to LRFC.

I remember Stan and his good wife Betty when they ran The Colilers pub. He used to live and breathe all things Rugby League. I enjoyed many a gill with him discussing Leigh RLFC particular, which as people who know me will verify is just up my street. My favourite topic in the world.
