| Won't come as a surprise that Ryan Brierley has signed for Toronto.

He's no good - the lad is huge but couldn't bust through a wet paper bag. He was crap at Wigan, he was crap here, and christ knows why Saints then signed him. Predictably, he was crap there as well.
He's now where he belongs, in NL1.[/quote]:White Backgrounds/Gonzo the Great.gif |

Good Evening Bongser, yes I'm OK, at present in a Log Cabin somewhere in Cumbria ,just watched the Widnes game , the Mutants are only 1 point behind us now.
I've never been swayed by cash offers, or bribes, mainly because I've never been offered them, I just agree with WISIWYG ,who has always been a learned Soothsayer. As for the state of the Circus in Ontario ?I'm not sure,if they allow animal acts over there.I'm already missing Louie, though.

Out of interest, do you think the Toronto fans will be happy with such anhialisations- or would they appreciate more competitive games
Could this season not lose the Fan base due to the monotomony of it all

| As for the experienced fans it would/is monotonous. The mass majority of Canadian fans will be learning the game regardless of the score. Then from a marketing point of view you have to have success in order to progress.80 nil drubbings is the way to promote success and give the appearance they already a league above the rest to start with.
Quite easy to keep that expectation alive, whilst the learning curve is in place. For me yes Toronto have to show to their fans they can more than compete in this sport, whether they had to go to such expense in building the squad early doors carries the question mark?

I think the fact that their new team is beating an English team (with a famous name like Oxford!) will be a novelty. But it has to wear thin pretty quickly as all sports fans like competition, don't they?
