| The Watcher knows that if Cockayne had not given as many penalties away as he did, HKR would be in SL next season. Cockayne has probably found his skill level now.

| Jamie Peacock has been totally unprofessional throughout the 8s.
James Webster throwing derogatory comments towards Leigh, talking like promotion and relegation is a new concept.
Ben Cockayne blaming his mental health on the middle 8s system.
All in all, I'm glad they've been relegated.

| I have plenty sympathy for players who are relegated to the Championship, but much more for the fans.
Let's face it, HKR's destiny was in the hands of the players and coaching team from day 1 of the season. As for the 'unfairness' of relegation, surely professional sport is [uALL[/u about competing with other professionals to determine who is best. There's no point in 'competing' otherwise. I'm sure Ben Cockayne will be able to compete in the Championship. He'll be ok!

For once I have to,agree with James Webster. Hull KR bring so much more to SL than other teams like Leigh...

I can't see anywhere in that link where JW states that?
Plus, if he did say that why would you agree?
Leigh play out of a great modern stadium, have good attendances and play exciting RL.
Utter snobbery to suggest they won't bring much to SL ...

James Webster has an habit of being a poor coach. Didnt he do the same to Wakefield last year ?
Peacock has already proven that he is a poor manager, so relegation pretty much goes hand in hand.
They should have not got rid of their previous coach, and irrespective of values, they should not have binned Albert Kelly.
Rovers have themselves to blame, and even though they do have alot to offer, they now have the nestegg of having a full salary cap for which would not be the case if it wasnt for DB.
An unfair system is now fair, and if it continues, it would not surprise me in seeing 2 teams promoted from the Championship as a result.
It will be one hell of a competition, and we need to do our best to avoid it.
The super 8's though are indeed rubbish !

| Next seasons middle 8's will probably be HKR, London, Toulouse and Bradford(if they find some money). Now that's a tough set of fixtures if they are cashed up and Toulouse away in 90' heat wont be good for anyone

I think Paul might be being naughtly himself by suggesting that what KR bring to SL is a slightly more violent fan base. If he isn't, that I certainly am saying that.
We beat the two teams in the million pound game, the Hull KR fixture being at their ground.
Hull KR lost to Huddersfield in the "1st" MPG - at home.
Hull KR lost the MPG - at home.
They had all the advantages and blew it.
I do wonder if this will stir Salford fans and may make attendances rise for them because, with the exception of the pure Schadenfreude I got when KR did lose (because of the classlessness of Peacock & Webster and the terrible conflation of issues by Cockaye) I do think the the Robins staying in SL would have been better for the sport in every other aspect.

And talking of 'schadenfreude', there was the priceless decision of ex-Aussie national coach, Tim Sheens, deciding to leave Salford for HKR, just before the Qualifiers. Now he really backed a loser there, didn't he! How the mighty are fallen!!

| I feel a little sorry for KR in that they have been relegated from 4th *middle 8s placing*, yet Captain Peacock & Cocaine have ramped up the numpty factor so often recently with their ridiculous outbursts & the Lab Rat Webster chipping in is enough for me to now be glad Salford won.
At least the AJ Bell is only half an hours drive.
Wonder what the chances of getting Maurice Blair & Ken Sio to sign are ?
