Think Ben Flower. Took another player's livelihood away and was given a lengthy ban, but one measured in months rather than matches, and one that was mainly chalked off in the closed season. Leeds and Wigan really do own Red Hall.

Fair enough. The guy got this one badly wrong and has acknowledged it. To put it into context, he talks about having made about 800 tackles this season - one mistake is surely understandable?
