Not been on here in yonks, so unsure how strict the rules are nowadays for off topic personal topics. So mods please forgive this as I am desperate, and topic can be locked once it served its purpose ? I posted similar on Leigh Life, and though I got response from someone the thread did get moved somewhere which I can no longer find so lost patience there.
I am trying to track a guy down who did some work for me in my house in Hindsford. I have lost his details, and it was 13 years ago so probably no use now anyway. I am 90% certain his name was Steve - he was very tall so if you have used him he would stick in your mind. As a habit he went to the Botanic Gardens in Atherton every Friday evening religiously. His main trade was replacement windows, but he did conservatories, and loft conversions. The loft conversion is what he did for me. I remember he told me at the time he did about 4 others near me as well, and windows etc. He was busy guy in Hindsford all them years ago.
The chances are I won't be able to trace him now after all these years - my own fault really as I kept putting it off. The work is a continuation of what he's done - not wishing to go into too much detail on here. It would save a lot of hassle if I can track him down.
I have been in botanical Gardens, and done googling etc. Even knocked on neighbour's doors who have loft conversions.
If this guy rings a bell can you let me know. Much appreciated.
