| Interesting to hear that some of the Yorkshire based Lower SL teams & Top Championship sides are interested in the services of Mr Ridyard from for next year.
I was always under the assumption he was contracted to Leigh forever but im reliably informed as of 1st May he's free to talk to other clubs?
Genuinely not stirring but I was very surprised Leigh would even consider letting somebody like him go?
How old is he?

| Would like to see him signed up certainly for another year. He's key to our team, always say about Martyn you only realise how much he does when he's not there doing it, we look half the team without his organisation. However does he have the pace & the flair to cut it in Super League? Hmmmm not so sure. I'd be telling Reynolds to stick close by him & try to pick up some of that leadership, if he can he'll be a top-mid SL quality player.

| We are in between a rock and a hard place here, if we sign him and fail again does that mean he is not good enough to take us up, if we don't and we lose him after we go up will we have the lost the reason we went up? Personally I would bonus those out of contract heavily to make SL, unless we can offload what looks like our worst signing ever in Tonga we will be restricted, of course if Tonga was fit and playing he would possibly be our best signing ever - ain't selecting your team/employees/staff great and why can't you buy a crystal ball

| Got to be worth another two years if only for his kicking game and organisational skills and ball distribution. Rather have him playing for us than against us

| I'll freely admit I've never been Riddy's biggest fan.
His kicking ability from out wide, given we *used to* score so often on the wings has always been questionable but I've found over the past couple of years that this is the only thing I can still be critical of.
I used to deride his tackling but since the middle 8s he has shown a whole new level of aggression and is actually quite good at taking down the opposition.
He now runs the line far more effectively and he himself isn't afraid to take the tackle - also having said that he seems more agile these days too and less flappy.
Maybe this is to do with the cofindence he has in our pack?
The only thing that is suffering because of how we seemingly play now is his in-game kicking. He was always quite good at a 40-20 but his ability to kick it down the throat of the opposing full back on the 5th remains a bit frustrating.
There is no replacing experience and I fully agree, far better to have him in our team than facing us.
