Bradford Bulls managing director Steve Ferres says the club has not made any bid for Leigh halfback Ryan Brierley.
The Bulls have been drawn into the unfolding saga between the Centurions and the player, when they were named in Leigh’s statement on Brierley’s suspension on Friday night. But Ferres says any interest has not extended beyond a brief chat with the player’s agent Craig Harrison.
Ferres told League Express: “I speak to Craig Harrison about players that we have that are with him, and it’s known that Ryan is with Craig as well.
“I asked to keep us in touch with the situation, but stressed to Craig that we would not be making any offer until the situation regarding the clause in his contract had been resolved.”

So there are 4 parties all sounding entirely plausible in their denial of wrongdoing.

I'm presuming you mean his agent? The same agent who has about 70 RL players on his books such as Luke gale, Ben Currie, Liam sutcliffe, Greg Eden, Stevan ratchford, Danny Maguire- yeah there's been a right soap opera around those players- I don't buy that one. |

Regardless of agent involvement. Name any player whose precise contract details have got in the press month in month out for the last 12 months or so. All the players you named there are SL or NRL and he is not bold enough to dick around those clubs. He clearly needs Ryan minus a contract to earn a big wedge for himself and Ryan.
What do you make of the report that on GMR Ryan supposedly said he had not put his notice in. Yet 'his' Saturday statement said he had I think.

We made a mistake yesterday. Ryan Brierley has not denied handing in his notice at Leigh Centurions. Sorry for the mix up. |

Jeez you guys are being put through it, obviously some person/people are pulling some ones wire on this and it really is getting beyond a joke.
If it was me I think I'd just be glad to see the back of him after the speculation of the last 12 months but with the other injuries it is really putting a strain on your squad. Hopefully you'll come out of it and finish one place below us in the top 4.

Any time after next Sunday will be fine!
Bought my tickets for the game from Leigh today - in the East Stand. The tickets are numbered 0008 and 0009. I hope that isn't indicative of the level of Leigh support, or how heavily outnumbered I may be, in the 'posh' seats!
Seriously though, we've always enjoyed sitting in the East stand, with 'Fax fans - it's an excellent afternoon out - whoever is getting tonked! |
