Brierley (or his agent) are the ones orchestrating the media circus. It has been going on for far too long. Brierley handed his notice in on Monday night. It got leaked through the press and it clearly didn't come out through Leigh. Rowley left and about an hour later Total RL already had an 'exclusive' containing confidential details about Brierley's contract and it's clauses and stating he was about to walk.

Has a player outside the top flight ever had so much endless speculation about his every move? It isn't a coincidence. Him or his agent use the press to keep as much attention and hype about him as they possibly can. And it works, he is never out of the papers.

I don't hate him as I don't care enough about him. I am however a lifelong rugby fan and take an interest in rugby in the media. I'm also interested as Bradford have been accused of doing something they accused my club of doing, seems unlikely. Turning on people who have had leighs interests at heart seems to be what Leigh fans are about nowadays.
