Leigh Centurions can confirm that St Helens utility player Lewis Charnock has joined the Club on a one month's loan deal.
Nicknamed 'Dougie,' Charnock played fullback and loose forward at junior level but since graduating through the Saints scholarship and U19s ranks has also played as a pivot, at stand-off or hooker as well as loose forward.
Aged 21 he made his Saints Super League debut in March 2013 against Salford and represented England Academy against Wales at the end of that season.
He has made a total of six first team appearances for Saints, scoring two tries and kicking eight goals and last season played eight games on dual registration with Rochdale Hornets in Championship One.
Leigh Centurions Head Coach Neil Jukes said: "I'd like to thank Mike Rush, Keiron Cunningham, Tommy Martyn and everyone at St Helens for their assistance in a deal that should hopefully benefit all parties.
"Lewis comes from a good culture and I look forward to working with him. He will add strength in depth across the board and will also enhance our kicking game.

Leigh Centurions Owner Derek Beaumont said: "Lewis comes with big wraps from Tommy Martyn and has obviously been well schooled coming through the ranks with Saints.
"We are depleted at the moment with injuries and Lewis will certainly add to our squad. We are backs against the wall at the moment but we are united in what we are doing and I would like to thank Mike Rush and Keiron Cunningham for their assistance on this.
"We have a good environment at Leigh which is important to leading clubs when considering loaning players out.
